Reply to Chidambaram
Today the former Defence and Finance Minister, acting for and on behalf of the Indian National Congress, with the aid of Mr Ram has started a new canard on Rafel.
It is my view that the whole excerise is based on the need of China and Pakistan to delay Indian defence preparedness. I am replying to the points he raised. A further post on what Mr. Ram has ranted will follow.

Lying, cheating, looting and treason come easily to some.
Let us examine former Minister Chidambaram’s statement regarding Rafael as carried on Mr. Ram’s Twitter account. I will deal with Ram’s rnt separately. The very fact that Chidambaram did not deal with all the trash there is another matter to be kept in mind.
Now that allegations regarding corruption and procedural flaws have been rejected by the apex court a new story is being sought to be made.
Let us start with each and every allegation that is based.
*The first statement is regarding the government of India rejecting air force’s need for seven squadrons of MMRCA.
The answer is manifold.
(a) The Government of India has not rejected the need for 126 aircraft. The attempt of Mr Chidambaram is to use the große Lüge of Adolf Hitler as the Congress has been doing ever since 2014. After all Congress follows the diktats of the successors of Hitler‘s Guru - Pope Pius XII. So I would have been surprised if they did not. The Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi has time and again said the purchase of 36 Rafael aircraft is a stopgap arrangement because the government under the UPA had abandoned their duty of providing the Armed Forces with wherewithal to defend the nation, the situation having become critical a stopgap arrangement had to be made. It was done.
(b) http://indianairforce.nic.in/sites/default/files/RFI_Fighter_Aircraft.pdf clearly show that the process for acquiring the rest of the fighters are very much in progress. Since there will be no negotiation for bakshish we can expect the process to be completed in one or two years and not in 10 or 20 as is the normal time lag in the case of Congress regimes.
So the very first argument of Mr Chidambaram falls to the ground.
Now we will go into the report of the hack of the Hindu.
1. Mr Chidambaram says or rather admits that the price being negotiated in 2007 was € 79.3 million. He also admits that the present price is € 91.75 million. The escalation clause as negotiated by UPA was 5% to 8 years’ escalation would have been 40% and the price would have been €111.02 million. If so the price of € 91.75 million results and a clean profit of € 19.27 million. When we are discussing prices obfuscating figures can for people who are reading superficially but not the people who look into what is being said. Mr Chidambaram being a lawyer, among many things, should have spelt out the figures correctly. But then he is also a politician, and when is lying for the party he cannot afford to put figures clearly. It is understandable. Point 1 answered accordingly.
2. My points one and two Mr Chidambaram practically admits that there is no hanky-panky regarding the prices.
3. Now comes the twist which starts with point 3. Use last words that mean nothing to the common man and confuse him. That is the very basis of the große Lüge or the big lie, the favourite propaganda tool of Adolf Hitler which has been adopted by Nehru‘s and his descendants‘ Congress. Say a lie so big that people will believe it to be true because they cannot imagine a person of Chidambaram status doing it.
4. How Dassault amortises the cost of India specific enhancements is irrelevant. We have asked for enhancements and the price has been agreed upon the other accounting statements are irrelevant. We pay a fixed price that is been negotiated and settled and the price has been admitted fighter number and his party to be less that what they were attempting to negotiate in the year 2011. So the statements in points four and five are irrelevant.
5. Let us also look at the comparable customised price paid by Qatar and Egypt in 2015 for the same aircraft.
Quatar pays € 6.3 billion for 24 aircraft. That puts the price per aircraft at € 262.5 million. That was on April 30, 2015.
On Feb. 15, 2015 Egypt ordered 24 aircraft for € 5.2 billion that works out to € 216.66 million.
the total cost of 36 Rafael aircraft for India is €7.03654 billion this work is works up to about € 195 million. This is inclusive of associated equipment, weapons, India-specific enhancements, maintenance support, and services.
8. So what amortisation happens where is an irrelevant issue. Paragraph 5 is nothing but nonsense. The price being paid is for the hardware pertaining to the India specific enhancements. If more aircraft are being purchased the same hardware will have to be purchased and so naturally the price will be built into the system. Mr Chidambaram again, like Dallas the price of barebones aircraft, is talking about the price that was never finalised or completed thanks to the correct behaviour of the UPA and its ministers and non-ministerial power holders.
9. Dassault would have been laughing all the way to the bank as the UPA would have padded the price with its bakshish and allowed Dassault would have padded it more. The whole crocodile tears is because some people were unable to collect the Bakshish they had hoped for.
10. If the National Security was compromised its responsibility must be laid at the feet of incompetent puppets like the accidental PM and accidental RM who did NOTHING for 10 years to meet the needs of the armed forces. First Let Mr Chidambaram explain how and why ten years were spent paper pushing while the air force and Army and Navy were crying for equipment. In the last 4.5 years Artillery gun galore has been procured, state of the art helicopter gunships have been procured, orders for ships have been placed, transport aircraft purchased, bullet-proof vest ordered, modern helmets ordered, the border has been reasonably secured and a million other things have been done that should have been done in the 10 years of UPA. It is for Mr Chidambaram to answer why this was not done earlier instead of blaming somebody who has done it without any hint of any corruption other than demand and manufactured corruption story being trotted out at the instance of the success of Cambridge analytica being repeated ad nauseam by the looters of the nation.
11. It is hilarious to see them talk about the dire need of seven squadrons of aircraft when they were sleeping for 10 years on such an issue.
12. The statement that the government of India will be paying ₹ 186 crore rupees more for the aircraft is hilariously idiotic.
13. The Hindu story is nothing but a figment of imagination and barefaced lies just like the story of honey bunny getting ₹ 30,000 crore as set of why the actual amount of set off for a civilian aircraft parts manufacturer was € 10 crore. Lying in the Parliament lying on the streets are the signs of a desperately afraid opposition.
14. I do not know the truth of veracity of the alleged 4-3 vote or the issues thereof. Of course there are likely to be disgruntled bureaucrats who had plans based on bakshish that has been thwarted.
15. Anyway however much people cry there is going to be no JPC on the deal as it does not fall within the scope of JPC.
16. What I suspect is some people may be upset that the contract to supply classified defence data to certain interested people has been thwarted and the clients may be asking back the payments made. Well best of luck to the Jaichands.
17. Then there is the issue of cost of india specific enhancements. As the article itself shows the amount of €1.3Billion is being paid for R&D and integration of the ISE. It is onetime payment and has no connection with number of aircraft.
(a) It must be remembered St. Antony had specifically mentioned that the funds for 126 aircraft went into thin air when probably bakshish was not available or becaus Eurofighter bakshish was better
(b) The amortisation story is stuff and nonsense
