There are some rags that sprouted like mushrooms after the 2014 defeat of the Indian National Congress. There were some “brilliant” strategists sitting somewhere in the West, who had no contact or idea of what the Indian culture or ethos is, and who believed that regular ranting in English will tarnish the image of Mr Modi and the National Democratic Alliance and guide the votes to the Indian National Congress. In order to achieve this end, they roped in all sorts of characters with no idea of what they are writing about. Most were from the west, long divorced from India, its politics, its people, its ethos and its culture. Most of thearticles were replete with inaccuracies, deliberate distortions and even lies because they did not have anything to attack Modi or the Government of India led by National Democratic Alliance.
